VOSTARS Heads-Up Display Streamlines Surgery

VOSTARS Heads-Up Display Streamlines Surgery
Mar-12-17
Designed for surgeons, the VOSTARS head-mounted display would provide patient information in real time, reducing the time spent in surgery.

During surgeries, doctors must look away from their patient in order to check vital signs and other medical data—resulting in a longer time in surgery while also breaking the surgeon’s focus on the patient. To help improve the surgical process, the VOSTARS (Video Optical See-Through Augmented Reality Surgical System) medical visor will display patient information, such as vital signs and anesthetic data, in the surgeon’s field of vision, streamlining the procedure.
