Method and System for Determining the Heating Value of a Fuel Gas Containing More Than Two Components
The invention relates to a method and system for determining the heating value of a fuel gas containing more than two components, such as natural gas. The method uses an electronic system to calculate said heating value on the basis of thermal conductivity values obtained from a multivariate analysis performed by a processing system on output signals from a thermal conductivity sensor placed in contact with the fuel gas, resulting from detection operations performed with the sensor inside a pipe through which the fuel gas flows.
