Determinants of the Acute Sickness Response
The present invention relates to a method for predicting the severity of an acute sickness response in a subject, said method comprising detecting the presence of a polymorphic marker in the subject, wherein said polymorphic marker is located in a cytokine-encoding gene, and wherein said polymorphic marker is predictive of the severity of an acute sickness response in the subject.
