Acoustics Hailing Device with effective communication range up to 300 meters
Develop and design Acoustics Hailing Devices (AHDs) with in-built acoustic transducer that can receive and amplify audio signals from ruggedized digital PMPs and project these for establishing efficient communications up to 300 meters. The challenge is to keep directional acoustics output of +/- 15 degrees, and maintain extreme volume levels of the pre-recorded tones, for optimum use of the device over large distances. The objective includes developing AHDs with proper hearing protection measures, and able to substantially abate the acoustic sound pressure level (SPL). Powered by the 12 VDC or 28 VDC power source, these devices must be employed easily using a tripod mount on fixed site or on a vehicle by a vehicle mounting system.
