Hip joint orthosis for e.g. supporting musculature of patient after hip joint implantation, has electro stimulation device for generating electro stimulation, where beginning and ending of stimulation
The orthosis has a hip belt including three parts in the form of shell elements (1), which are movably arranged and fixed on a flexible anti-rotation cable. An orthosis joint (5) includes an adjustable, progressive resistance, which works against movement of a patient at an extreme position. An electro stimulation device (3) is attached to the shell elements for generating electro stimulation, where beginning and ending of the stimulation is controlled by a switch e.g. hand switch, such that muscles near the joint are stimulated, where the switch depends on a motion- and/or movement cycle.
