Nokia Open Innovation Challenge Wants Your Brilliant Ideas

Nokia Open Innovation ChallengeCalling all innovators!

The Nokia Open Innovation Challenge 2019 is open and waiting for your brilliant and innovative industrial automation ideas.

The contest's main theme relates to high-performance digital networks  to "support unprecedented levels of automation and usher in a new era of productivity for industrials and the public sector."

The winner can be an already established concept that could benefit from a bigger boost or something yet to reach the market place.

The open innovation contest also has a number of subthemes. They are:

  • Multi-robot collaboration
  • Human augmentation (including augmented/mixed/virtual reality)
  • Digital personal assistants
  • Human-machine/machine-human
  • Edge computing
  • AI application and technologies

The closing date for submissions is June 30 and this will be followed by:

  • Assessment Round 1
  • Submission Phase 2
  • Assessment Round 2
  • Mentoring Event
  • Grand Final

 

First, second and third place prize winners will pick up $100,000, $50,000 and $25,000 respectively. In addition to the money, the competition offers a number of other opportunities including the possibility of co-innovation and partnerships as well as access to Nokia's global market.
