Have you got an idea for a great innovation, a superlative product that meets an unmet need and makes life easier for all of us? Throughout 2013 people have been sending their ideas to NPR’s All Tech Considered.
The blog has recently compiled a list of some of its favorite submissions and they include reversible tattoos, expandable Tupperware and steering wheel fans.
Reversible Tattoos
For those who get their permanent tattoos applied in a drunken haze or who otherwise come to regret the huge picture of the famous sporting personality etched on their left arm, Brandon Porter submitted his reversible tattoo concept.
The idea is for a tattoo that uses a nontoxic dye instead of ink and if a person subsequently wants it removed it can be reversed by a nontoxic substance that makes the dye clear or breaks it down.
Steering Wheel Fans
It can be hot and humid in the car during summer. Maybe the air con doesn’t work or it doesn’t provide as much relief and your hands are still sweaty, making driving uncomfortable. A steering wheel fan could be the answer.
Submitted by Leah Philippon, the concept draws its inspiration from the video gaming industry where some controllers have built-in fans on handles so palms don’t get sweaty.
Expandable Tupperware
How many times have we all reached for containers to put leftovers in but been unable to find a corresponding lid? Don Rockwell’s solution is pure and simple – have stretchable lids that can be used on any container.
