STAT3 Inhibitors for the Treatment of Fibrosis

A method of medical treatment or prevention of an interstitial lung disease (ILD) in a subject in need thereof, the method including administering a therapeutically effective amount of a signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) inhibitor to the subject is provided. In other aspects uses of STAT3 inhibitors for treatment and/or prevention of an ILD, or for preparation of medicaments for treatment or prevention of an ILD are provided. The method or use may further include coupling the STAT3 inhibitor to a targeting moiety.
