Method for Inactivating At Least One Pathogen in Human Blood Plasma Sample

The present invention relates to a method for inactivating at least one pathogen of a human blood plasma sample, including: adiabatically compressing said sample, the temperature of said plasma being, at a pressure P1, between -10 DEG C and -3 DEG C as a result of the compression; optionally maintaining the pressure P1 for a time of 110 to 130 seconds; and adiabatically expanding the sample. The present invention also relates to the use of the method of the invention and to the plasma obtained by the method of the invention. The method and the materials obtained by said method are particularly useful in the therapeutic and non-therapeutic fields.
