Microdrive for use in neurophysiological research of animals, particulary for use in mice, comprising: - at least two elongate electrodes for measuring field potentials from nervous tissue; - electrode adjusting means for adjusting the depth of each of the electrodes in the nervous tissue; and - a body for holding the electrode adjusting means, wherein the electrodes comprise upper parts held in the electrode adjusting means and lower parts forming a bundle arranged for insertion in the animal, wherein the electrodes extend substantially parallel and linear over their entire length.
