Novel Albumin-free Factor Viii Formulation
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a factor VIII formulation for a treatment that is stable in the absence of albumin or other proteins. ; SOLUTION: The factor VIII composition formulated without adding albumin comprises the following excipients in addition to the factor VIII: 4-10% of a filler selected from the group consisting of mannitol, glycine and alanine; 1-4% of a stabilizer selected from the group consisting of sucrose, trehalose, raffinose and alginin; 1-5 mM of a calcium salt; 100-300 mM of NaCl; and a buffering agent for maintaining pH of about 6-8. ; COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPITPatents:
