FEATURES
A distinct goal in cancer diagnosis has been detecting cancer-related changes in patient's blood. Some recently identified cancer biomarkers in human serum are glycoproteins. However, this approach has been less commonly pursued due to the difficulties with high-sensitivity measurements of glycans.

This invention utilizes a MS-based glycomic profiling of serum-derived constituents to provide a highly sensitive and informative approach to differential evaluation of cancer conditions.
