The method involves using blank in the form of a cylindrical massive element. Production of a workpiece with an inner profile and an outer profile is enabled by superposition of a bowl-extrusion process and a cross-extrusion process, where the workpiece exhibits higher temperature in areas of high degree of deformation than in areas of low degree of deformation. Forming force is same in corresponding forming areas by selection of corresponding forming temperatures. Partial heating of the workpiece takes place in an inductive manner.
