Multivalent Vaccine against Marek's Disease and Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus
Summary Protective immunity against avian influenza, H5N1 subtype, may be provided economically using a multivalent vaccine against both avian influenza and Marek’s disease, a common vaccination target in birds. Using a recombinant herpesvirus, Marek’s disease and avian influence, H5N1 subtype, antigens are persistently expressed. Eliciting antibodies against these antigens may provide protective immunity at a reduced per-unit cost.
