Olfactory Receptor I7 Targeted O/E3 Knockout Mice
The mammalian Olf1/EBF (O/E) family of repeated helix-loop-helix (rHLH) transcription factors has been implicated in olfactory system gene regulation, nervous system development and B-cell differentiation. Researchers at Johns Hopkins have generated a genetic knockout transgenic mouse in which the O/E3 gene is replaced with coding sequences from an odorant receptor. Description (Set) Proposed Use (Set) This mouse line provides an important research tool for studying the function of the O/E3 transcription factor
